Some Bogging tips to increase traffic and earnings
Select an exciting topic:
The basic rule of blogging is to choose a topic close to your heart. Its best if you love something other people also love, such as sports, politics, or celebrities. All blogs have the potential to create revenue, but the popular ones are those which are informative or related to one’s life experiences”.
tip: Instead of picking a niche topic like diet tips, where there's only little you can write on, pick a general way of looking at life or an area of interest that you're passionate about. Successful bloggers always stick to the theory that "content is king". It holds particularly true if you hope to earn by blogging. Ensure that new content is contributed on a regular basis. And this can always be possible when the topic of your blog motivates you to write on a regular basis.
Increase traffic to your blog:
Your blog will not make money if no one finds your blog! Your ultimate goal should be to achieve a high ranking in the search engines. So try and build traffic to your blog or make your blog accessible to a large number of readers so that people visiting your blog can increase. The basics involve writing quality content, and updating the content on a daily or weekly basis. The best way to promote your blog is by joining a blog network such as blogcatalog ,blogadda, technorati, blogarama, buzzerhut, , etc. A blog network website helps bloggers by highlighting and promoting their blog to millions of users all over the world.
tip: Joining a blog network and gaining a strong following through that network is the best ways to build blog traffic. It is difficult to get good traffic to your blog, but after submitting your blog to various blog network websites you will more page views. To calculate the amount of traffic coming to your blog, Google and other websites provide a solution. Google-webmaster, mypagerank, trafficonblog etc are some websites that calculate the amount of traffic generated by your blog. You just need to register on these websites to can check your traffic details on a daily basis.
Advertisements
Once you are able to get a good amount of traffic to your blog, you can proceed to the earning strategies. The most obvious way to make money through blogging is with advertising. Advertisers pay a few cents when an ad is clicked upon. Or, they may pay a certain rate for each 1,000 page views.
tip: The most famous advertisement method for most bloggers is Google Adsence Google ads are usually the first foray of new bloggers into the world advertising. Easy to use, they only provide a fraction of income to successful bloggers. Lucrative deals come from advertisers who pay a good deal of money for displaying there ad on your blog. Some of them are AdBrite, AdGenta, BidVertiser, Pogads, clicksor etc. It's easy to get ads on your site, but difficult to earn from them. You'll need thousands of visitors each month.
Affiliate programs
Affiliate programs are again good methods of earning money through a blog. Affiliate programs are similar to advertising. But in affiliate programs you are paid directly by advertisers for placing a banner ad or a text ad on your site. Here people can also earn by putting affiliate links inside their blog posts. You may get paid when a visitor clicks an affiliate link. But usually, visitors must make a purchase from the affiliate.
tip: Earning money from affiliate programs is more difficult, but if it works you could earn ten per cent or more, per product user buy through your blog. Amazon, ebay, commission Junction, linkShare are some of the websites that are leaders in the affiliate programs. You can recommend books or other products available for purchase from other sources, and earn very generous sales commissions when your visitors buy those products.
Pay-per-post
Some companies will pay you to write about their products and services on your blog. Your pay varies depending on your blog and the traffic generated on your blog. There are many websites available on the Iinternet that can pay you handsomely for writing reviews of their products. Some can even pay you up to $1,000 per post. If you have a good traffic coming into your blog then you can easily join any of these company websites. Some require you to blog for a month or more before enrolling. Or, you may need a specific number of posts or site visitors.
tip: Not all bloggers are willing to get paid to write about a specific product or website, but the ones who do can make good money. Some of the websites which offer such opportunities are PayPerPost, SponsoredReviews, Blogvertise etc
Paid Surveys and Polls
Bloggers can also earn money by running polls and surveys on their blogs. There are many websites that pay you money to run a small survey or poll on your website. The most popular one among them is called Vizu Answers.
tip: You need to sign up with them, and select the kind of polls that you want to run your site. It’s free of cost and you are paid handsomely if your blog generates a huge amount of traffic.
Blog: There are numerous definitions for a blog, a contraction of weblog. It is referred as an online journal or dairy that is available on the web that are displayed in a reverse chronological order. Blogs are mostly available in a series.
Blogs are typically updated and maintained on a daily basis using software, which people with little or no technical background can use. Generally blogs are entries about the personal experiences and hobbies of the writer.

list of impression based publishing networks other than adsense
The following publishers are ordered by their traffic requirements, in parentheses.
AdsDaq (no requirement) - While they only provide CPM ads to specific countries, their ability to display backup ads from any network makes them an easy first choice for somebody looking to test the waters of the CPM market.
Ad Dynamix - (no requirement) - While not quite as intuitive as AdsDaq, their minimal requirements make Ad Dynamix quite approachable even though their customer support is poor.
ValueClick (3,000 pageviews per month) - While their pageview requirements are quite low, ValueClick is known to be picky with the type of site they will approve.
Morning Falls (10,000 pageviews per month) - A relatively low traffic requirement, solid customer service, simple implementation and easy to understand reports make this a good CPM publisher for beginners.
CPX Interactive (10,000 pageviews per month) - A relatively new face on the advertising scene, CPX Interactive offers good integration and solid reporting. Meeting the traffic requirements is not always good enough, however, as their internal approval process is on the strict side.
Burst Media (20,000 pageviews per month) - Burst Media is an intermediate advertising publisher. Their overly-complicated integration and reports, as well as their poor customer service hold them back from the upper echelon of advertising networks.
Casale Media (10,000 unique visitors per month) - A good intermediate ad publisher, perfect for an established site that has not quite reached A-List status just yet. Casale Media handles larger sites as well, making them a good long-term choice for many sites.
Tribal Fusion (60,000 unique visitors per month) - A solid pay scale, depending on your niche. Tribal Fusion represents hundreds of sites with a wide range of categories.

Improve Traffic - An Introduction
My first tip is about not looking 'spammy', in forums, comments, yahoo answers etc. Do not become those spammers like everyone just want to chop of their heads :) !
Of course you want people to visit your site, but you want them to visit your site because they want to and they are interested about what you have to say...
Let's say I'm going to sign up to one of the forums out there. After I sign up I want to be apart of the community and answer some questions that people are asking and make some friendly advice. And you know talk to people. They are human beings. Never say like: "Hey take a look at my blog! and then your link."
This way people will feel like they are getting spammed and don't want to check out what you have to offer.
Example:
Not good:
• Check out my blog! Great stuff man, here is my website!
• I made **.**$ today doing this, and some link
You know this is all advertising and average people don't like advertisements. And places like forums you are not using it to advertise. Not this way at least!
Good way:
• You give some friendly advice, or you answer someone's question and then you leave your signature and your link below. Just like that, don't tell them to click on it.
Note: If people like what you are saying and you are honest, with helpful tips people want to know more about you and what you have to offer. And they will click and take a look at your blog/website.
My second tip is about making your link stand out, look more appealing.
When you leave your link somewhere you should make it look readable.
Example:
Let's say I have a website about cooking and I was really lucky to get the domain www.tipstomakemoneyonline.com
But to make the link look more appealing you write it like this
www.TipsTomakeMoneyOnline.com
See how the link suddenly look more appealing? It's easier to read the link and people will more likely click on it.
Think about it, let's say you are not so lucky to find good name for your website and you get, tipstomakemoneyonline.com When you read it and have dyslexia the words will confuse you. But let's make it more looking :)
TipsTomakeMoneyOnline.com See how easy this is...
What not to do:
Some of you may have seen link looking like this Www.LinksLookSpammy.Com see this is to much and just look spammy. www.LinksLookSpammy.com This is fine.

Google approval process approves websites that have significant real content
No one knows about Google approval process. In fact, no one knows how Google decides to accept or reject a site. However, one thing for sure - the main criterion for Google approval process is always the content of the website! Many sites got rejected because they didn’t provide enough or any good content at all. Those websites that consist of links that do not offer any informational content will also be rejected.
Google approval process approves websites that have significant real content. These could be in the form of articles, analyses of various topics, reviews and much more. If your website is solely focus on selling products and services, you could include informational articles about your products or your industry. You can also include reviews of your products.
Another reason why some business websites do not qualify for the program is that these businesses are in a very narrow niche market and the only Google AdSense ads they will get are from their niche market competitors. Competitor ads would be blocked by these businesses, filtered by Google, or both. So an AdSense program that serves no ads serve no purpose.
Similarly, website that focus only on links for generating search engine traffic do not provide any content at all. These sites may rack up fairly high traffic scores and so forth, but they do not qualify for AdSense.
One of the best and simplest strategies is to include at least 30 to 40 informational articles of 400 to 450 words on you website and update them from time to time. Writing these articles yourself may be a daunting task. However, the good news is that there are considerable websites that offer articles for free, and plenty of professional writing resources who can not only write high quality material for you, but can especially optimize that material to work well with search engines and the “qualification?processes for systems like AdSense.

3 shortcuts to get your adsense account
It is very difficult for every person to get into adsense, Most of the times the application is rejected, now i will tell you 3 ways to get your adsense account.
The first one is to create the account by using your blog

A-Z about google adsense - follow the rules
a. Strictly follow the rules mentioned in Adsense policies. You will always earn more revenue from Adsense by playing it clean.
b. Never modify the Google Adsense HTML code.
c. Don't ask your friends or visitors to click on your Google ads. Do not include incentives of any kind for users to click on ads. Don't label the Google ads with text other than "sponsored links" or "advertisements.".
d. Don't click on your own ads - Google is much smarter than you think. You should not reload your pages excessively. If you are testing your website layout with Google adsense, follow some precautions. Or you can use the unofficial Google Adsense Sandbox Tool that is accessible from Firefox, IE and other browsers to see what kind of Google ads will be served based on content (website address URL) or keywords.
e. Don't place ads in pop-up windows, error pages or even empty pages.
f. Don't start a "adsense asbestos" or "home equity loan rates" website merely to make money from accidental clicks (accidence). You will never make money out these "made-for-adsense-only" websites. Instead, write on topics what you are passionate about. Don't waste your money on high-paying adsense keywords lists.
g. For short articles, CTR is best when ads are placed just above the content
h. For long articles, CTR improves if ads are placed somewhere in middle of the content - visitors read the long content and then they are looking for more resources.
i. Use Text Ads instead of Image Ads as users get more options. If you still want to display image ads, consider ad formats that support image ads - Choose either the 300x250 medium rectangle or the 160x600 wide skyscraper - or both, if you display multiple ad units on a page.
j. Google Ads without background color and borders always perform better. Make the border color and background color same as your page background color.
k. Always put ads above the main fold. Make sure that the ad unit with the highest clickthrough rate is the first instance of the ad code that appears in the HTML. Since the first ad unit is always filled before the rest, you want to make sure that ad unit is located in the best placement on your page.
l. Try setting the ad link URL color to a lighter shade. If your text is black, you may make the adlink as light gray.
m. Go Wide - The large rectangle is the best paying adsense format (336x280) - The Google Adsense Publisher team also feels that the best formats are the wider ones - the ad formats that contain the widest individual ads. Try using the 336x280 large rectangle, 300x250 medium rectangle, or 160x600 wide skyscraper.
n. Placing images next to ads or above ads does help in attracting user attention.
o. Blend AdLinks with other navigation links or place horizontal adlinks at the top of your webpage. AdSense publishers are permitted to click on link unit topics on their web pages, provided that they do not click on any Google ads on the resulting page.
p. Organize an Adsense Party for your friends and colleagues - Request them to navigate your website, watch their activity - it will provide vital clues about which regions on your website draw more user attention. Try putting ads near those areas. (Thanks Darren)
q. You can put upto 3 adsense units on a page. Try putting a large skyscraper on the right navigation sidebar of your website. That area is close to the browser scrollbar. You can also add 2 AdSense for search boxes, 1 adlink unit and 1 referral button per product (i.e., 1 AdSense referral button and 1 Firefox plus Google Toolbar referral button).
r. The first few lines of your content are an important factor for determining what Ads are served on your webpage. That's the right place to put keywords in bold or header tags (h1, h2, etc).
s. Always select the setting to open Google Adsense search box results in a new browser window, so you won't lose your visitors. Click the Open search results in a new browser window checkbox and this add target="google_window" to your form tag.
t. Maximum people think the search box is on the top right corner. So you know where to put it.
u. Don't syndicate full content. If people can read everything from the newsreader window itself, why would they visit your website where your ads are.
v. Use URL channels to determine performance of individual pages. I track my most popular pages with Google Analytics, Statcounter and create a channel for each of the URL. You can even track Adsense Clicks with Analytics
w. For low CTR pages, try changing titles or adding more content to get better focused ads
x. Block low paying advertisers with Filters. Why to loose a visitor for 0.01 cents. Use Overture or Google Adwords Keywords tool to discover keywords that are less popular with advertisers.
y. The AdSense for search Top Queries report shows you what your users are looking for, by listing the 25 most common searches conducted through your AdSense for search boxes. Use this report to identify additional topics to add to your site, or to keep track of your most sought-after information. Focus and improve that content.
z. Not everyone has a RSS reader. Use RSS to Email services like FeedBlitz, Bloglet or Rmail to let users subscribe to your blog by email.
